Chest of drawers masonry layout in plywood

View this post on Instagram

New chest of drawers design! The staggered 'masonry' layout lends each drawer to a different purpose. The end grain of the birch #plywood is not hidden, but only a slither is visible with the drawers closed (swipe across to see) due to deep rebates at the corners, and chamfers on the back of the drawer fronts. This keeps the emphasis on the pale birch face, finished with white transparent wax oil for a calm #minimal #scandinavian look. I designed this using #parametric software and the sheets were then #cnc machined. This means I can reproduce the chest for you at a #bespoke size very economically. Enquire for details. #makersgonnamake #furniture #cncrouter #scandi #scandinaviandesign #minimalism #plywoodfurniture
